Following suit from previous layouts featuring favourite actresses of mine, this site's current adornment is the gorgeous and bubbly Katherine Heigl. I chose a shot from her 2005 photoshoot for Co-Ed Magazine because in it she exudes so much of the cute and quirky personality I love her for! (Image courtesy of Heigl-Fan.net.)
The name of this page is a multi-dimensional play on words. Obviously Daisy is one of my middle names and belle is the French word for "beautiful" - not that I'm tootin' my own horn or anything! However, Daisy Bell is also the name of a very well-known, very old song that people have insisted on serenading me with ever since I can remember.

| Name: | Jennifer Daisy Elizabeth Anne |
| Birthday: | October 3, which would make me a Libra! |
| Ethnicity: | A mix, but mainly English and Scottish |
| Hair/Eyes: | Brown/Hazel |
| Studies: | BA (Hons) French and Linguistics at UWE |
| Location: | London/Bristol, England |
Well, now. My name's Jennifer, but so many people have taken to calling me Daisy that even some of my closest friends don't know my real first name. I'm quite the quintessential British girl, traditional to the point of old-fashioned in my way of thinking but with a definite curiosity and thirst for knowledge, although at first glance my cockney-esque Estuary English accent migh' fool ya!
Above all things, I'm passionate about language, though that's not to say that I'm multilingual as I'm barely fluent en français and I can speak only basic Swedish. My interest is much more abstract and lies mainly in Applied Linguistics fields, particularly psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics.
I obviously enjoy my videogames, which I believe growing up with a pair of brothers is responsible for! I mostly play console RPGs with the occasional FPS, fighting or racing game thrown in. Since I first played Ragnarok Online several years ago with my girls at DigitalFLARE, I've also developed a taste for MMORPGs: I played Final Fantasy XI for a bit and have been playing World of Warcraft since 2006.
Having just hit my twenties, I've moved out of my parents' house in London to retrace my roots and go to university in Bristol, where my dad was born and raised. I will be leaving the UK altogether within the next few years to spend some time in Canada as part of my course at university. In the long run, my doctor-to-be boyfriend and I would love to migrate to Australia as my sister and some distant relatives already have done!

| Colours: | Light neutrals, shades of brown, dusty pink and RAF blue. |
| Food/Drink: | Italian dishes/Margarita and Cosmpolitan cocktails |
| Actresses: | Keira Knightley, Natalie Portman and Katherine Heigl |
| Movies: | Dangerous Liaisons, The Prestige and Pride and Prejudice |
| TV Shows: | Firefly, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes and House MD |
| Animals: | Cats, big cats (especially cheetahs), red pandas, and otters. |
I love... My family, my friends, my cat, my boyfriend (in that order)! Posh accents, contradictions, perfume, the ocean, sunsets and sunrises and full moons and rainbows, red pandas, jeans, lace, ribbon, silk and satin, owning an insanely huge collection of lingerie, making random animal noises, Jaguars and Aston Martins, le théâtre, summer.

| Watersports: | Swimming, freediving and just a little surfing! |
| Strokes: | Anything that isn't breaststroke, though backstroke is my forté |
| Disciplines: | Static apnea and dynamic apnea without fins |
| Records: | 5'49" (static apnea) and 116m (dynamic apnea) |
I only learned to swim in my last few years at primary school, so when I was nine or ten, but it feels as though nobody's been able to get me out of the water since! During my teens, my family and friends would always joke about me being a Little Mermaid, though this quip actually started because one of my famous poolside "poses" reminded my dad of the Copenhagen statue of Hans Christian Andersen's Den Lille Havfrue!
Though I toyed with the idea several years ago, I really dislike competitive watersports and simply enjoy improving on my own personal bests. Towards the end of my secondary education, I was introduced to freediving by one of my favourite teachers (who actually held the British record for dynamic apnea without fins until recently) and it's been a focus of mine ever since, at least in terms of static and dynamic apnea. Put me in a swimming pool now and I'd scare the hell out of the lifeguards by not coming up for breath for several lengths!
Until I was around thirteen, my parents would take me and my brothers on holiday twice a year to Polzeath (a pretty surfing beach in Cornwall), so it's no surprise that I ended up becoming a bit of a surfer too. I was only able to tackle the smaller waves and, because I haven't surfed since I was sixteen, I'm scared that I've forgotten how to!

| Style Icons: | Audrey Hepburn, Natalie Portman, Rachel Bilson |
| High Street: | Karen Millen, Ted Baker, Oasis, Kookai, Topshop |
| Designer: | Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton (just for the cute purses)! |
| Make-Up: | Clinique, Bobbi Brown, M·A·C Cosmetics |
| Perfume: | Armani Code, DKNY Be Delicious, Vera Wang Princess |
In terms of fashion, I'm far from always being à la mode but I know what I like and I know what suits me, so I like to think I usually look pretty stylish. As a university student and not much else, 99.9% of my wardrobe is casualwear: cute tees and sweaters are layered and paired with form-fitting designer jeans and slightly more ostentatious shoes, accessories and Swarovski Crystal jewellery for my trademark day look.
My main indulgence is lingerie, which I spend more money on than outerwear! I adore delicate silk and satin fabrics with lace trims and ribbon here there and everywhere, often in light or neutral colours and cute patterns. I'm also known for splurging on any pretty dress I come across, whether or not I have anywhere suitable to wear them to!
Although I rather pride myself on being mostly au naturel, my skin is so terrible that I refuse to leave the house without decent coverage. On a day to day basis, I use Clinique Superfit Makeup in Petal, undereye corrector from Bobbi Brown and a touch of mineral blush in Raspberry. Also, because my eyes are quite deep-set, I use a dark shade of Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner on both my upper and lower lids to bring them forward and just a lick of waterproof mascara to colour my lashes.
