Laguna Loire, the man in the machine gun
[ about laguna ]
Laguna is a Galbadian Soldier who really is in the wrong line of work.
His two best friends are Kiros and Ward.
They supported Laguna's frequent visits to see Julia play the piano at Galbadia Hotel, mainly because they don't mind drinking instead of being on the job.
Their dialogue in the Japanese Game was based on the staff members at Squaresoft offices.
Laguna always sits on the same table every time he listens to Julia's play.
His lack of confidence with women and crush on Julia are well known throughout Deling City, but this doesn't stop Julia from approaching him.
She saves him the trouble of being embarrased further.
Julia really became in love with Laguna's eyes and didn't get to fully know him.
She didn't simply like the color, but the way he watched her was gentle and showed a vulnerable side to his showy personality.
Laguna and his friends get separated during some of their hack-job missions but always find each other somehow.
The heavily wounded Laguna was later nursed back to health by Raine (much to everyone in Winhill's chagrin).
Raine later becomes Laguna's wife, and true love. However, Laguna's personality doesn't keep him in the same place too long.
When the child they adopted, Ellone, goes missing, he goes off on a journey around the world to find her, even leaving Raine pregnant with his son, Squall.
